Japonya bir kez daha orman yangınlarıyla karşı karşıya kaldı. According to local authorities, forest fires that started in the Okayama and Ehime prefectures yesterday evening spread rapidly to a wide area due to the dry weather.

At least 250 hectares of forest land turned to ashes in Okayama prefecture, with 6 buildings damaged by the fire. Evacuation warnings were issued to 893 people living in 403 households.

The forest fire in Ehime prefecture destroyed at least 105 hectares of land. In order to take precautions, some local train services were suspended, and some highways were closed to traffic.

Upon the request of the Okayama and Ehime prefectures, SDF personnel were sent to the fire areas to support the extinguishing efforts. It was reported that the fight against the flames continued.

1 Person Lost Their Life

In Japan’s Iwate prefecture, a forest fire that started on February 26 resulted in the death of 1 person and damage to 171 buildings. 4,500 people were evacuated due to the fire that turned 2,900 hectares of land to ashes. The flames were brought under control in 12 days.
